Qi Gong is a form of gentle Chinese exercise that involves movement combined with breathing and meditation. There are various forms of Qi Gong (also written Chi Kung) but in this class the focus is on specific exercises for joint mobility. We also perform gentle stretching exercises and massage of the joints to help relieve the pain and discomfort of arthritis. As many of the exercises can be performed seated, the class is suitable for all levels of ability.

Beginners to Tai Chi Chuan are always welcome at any time.

Tim and Eileen are both Advanced Instructor Members of the Tai Chi Union for Great Britain.

The Gold Book - English Edition

This book is of great importance to all Tai Chi Chuan enthusiasts, whatever school or style they follow, but is essential reading for Wu stylists.

The two main texts that are presented here are at the core of the traditions that emanated from the Imperial Guard after the fall of the Ching Dynasty in 1911.

The older of the two texts, "The Explanation of Tai Chi Methodology" was published in full in Chinese for the first time only in the 1980 edition of this book. It was transcribed by Sifu Eddie Wu Kwong Yu’s Great Great Grandfather: founding Master Wu Chuan Yau, after he became a disciple of Yang Ban Hou at Prince Sweh Fang's palace. It has been in the Wu family for over 125 years. The second text was written by Master Wu Kung Cho in 1935 and amended in 1980.

Contents Include:
Photos of Masters Wu Chien Chuan and Wu Kung Yi playing the form
Translations of the Tai Chi Classics
History of Wu Family Tai Chi Chuan and family tree

Cost: £28 + £2.75 postage (UK delivery only)
